You can always check out my blog to see what I'm currently working on.

New: rings page added to the gallery section of the site in October 2008. Getting this page up has been on my to-do list for a while. I love making rings, and I think some of my most successful art jewelry pieces over the years have been rings.

About Michon Jewelry

Each piece of jewelry is created one at a time in my art studio. I make one of a kind pieces along with limited editions, using primarily handmade components combined with pearls, gemstones, and alternative materials such as resin, seashells, and found objects. All of my handcrafted artisan jewelry is designed and made by me. I enjoy working with metal and experimenting with new techniques and materials.

My signature style, which most of my customers associate with me, is very freeform and organic looking, and usually includes silver and freshwater pearls or gemstones. However, when the mood strikes me, I also make fun and funky jewelry with resin, string beads, assemble trendy designs with beads and chain, experiment with mixed media techniques, knit, crochet, stitch, and weave. Handcrafted freeform artisan jewelry made from silver wire and pearls is my signature look, but if you browse my online image galleries, look in my etsy shop, and read my blog, you'll see that I frequently take breaks from working in this style to experiment with new design ideas and even different crafts.

New work is added to the online jewelry gallery regularly, and the complete line can be seen by appointment at the studio in Richmond. Evening and weekend appointments work best for me at this time.

I answer questions about jewelry: metals, pearls, common or uncommon materials and processes for making jewelry...you name it. I also talk about my experiences designing and selling jewelry.
