Very very pretty!
Thanks Romi! I hope to make lace like yours someday
hi!
i’m a beginner at crocheting and i love your scarf!
I tried following the instructions but the outcome isn’t similar.
i started off with 20 chains, do i need to do an extra one for turning at the end/start of each row? Cause if i follow this across the row,
“Then slip stitch into the fifth chain from the hook, chain four, and slip stitch into the fourth chain from the slip stitch”
it doesnt seem to end properly. I’m also not too clear about the 2nd row where you say ” slip stitch into the next chain 4 space”.
sorry for being so blur! i’m glad i tried it out though hehe
had good practice! really hope to make one like yours! thanks!
Okay…it’s been ages since I made this scarf, but yeah, you probably need to chain one more in the first row, but not the subsequent rows. After you make the first row of mesh (slip stitch into the 4th chain from the hook, chain 4, etc) you shouldn’t need any extra stitches. Slip stitch into the chain four space means that instead of making a slip stitch into a specific stitch, you slip stitch into the empty space – in other words, you make the slip stitch around the little bar made by the four chain stitches rather than into one of them. Does that make sense? I understand your frustration – I have an easier time making up my own patterns than following written instructions! If I was there, I could just show you and it would be so much easier.
This pattern is great! Thank you! I’m working on a scarf using the pattern, and it’s really simple and fairly fast.
Thanks!
