Happy Halloween!

[caption id="attachment_886" align="alignnone" width="193" caption="Witch Costume"]Witch Costume[/caption] I didn't dress up last year (although I thought of all kinds of funny costumes involving my pregnant belly) and it doesn't look like I'll dress up this year (unless wearing my gym clothes to a kid party counts as an aerobics instructor costume....) but here's a photo from several years ago. See the spider attached to the outfit? I made it out of pipe cleaners. There was also a similar ring, again made entirely of pipe cleaners. I can't find the close-up images of them, but I thought it was pretty good for costume jewelry - cost me less than $1 and took maybe five minutes to design and make. Do you make your own costumes, or parts of costumes? I'd love to see them!

Sure do make them! This year my daughter is being a green dragon. We took a vinyl tablecloth apart for her wings, green jogging suit, suitable quantities of coloured sharpies, glitter and fabric paint. Voila, green dragon for about $1.50 (had everything except the dollar store tablecloth already).
