10 Second Kid Craft

September 11th, 2009

My 18 month old son LOVES coloring, but if I give him a single piece of paper, it needs to be taped down or it moves too much and frustrates him. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a sketchbook for him since he can go through 10 pieces of paper in about an hour, so….

I got a great idea – I took several sheets of letter-sized paper, folded them in half, and stapled as close as possible to the edge. Instant coloring book! He loves it and is scribbling all over the cover right now.

Total time: 10 seconds (maybe 20 – but not more!)
Total cost: whatever three staples cost – 5 cents maybe? The paper was all reclaimed old stationary that we use as scratch paper.
