Have you seen the new website etsyfame.com? Created by Annie Howes from the Fabulous Artistic Moms (FAM) of Etsy team, it features loads of beautiful handmade items by FAM members. My jewelry is there, along with purses, baby clothes, photographs, illustrations, even some very tempting sweet treats. The site is beautifully designed too, and you can browse the various shops by clicking on the names in the left-hand column. I’m really excited about this site and plan to use it when I’m looking for nice handmade gifts.
New Jewelry at Exhibit One

My latest jewelry, including six new rings, are off to Exhibit One in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Here’s a snapshot of one of the new rings:
This one features a lavender colored coin pearl with small multicolored sapphire accents. The ring base was sculpted freehand from argentium sterling silver, a sterling alloy that resists tarnish. I think this would be a nice ring to wear on Easter, if it wasn’t already in the mail and on the way to the gallery….
100 Etsy Artists

I was catching up on etsy news and found a link to this great article which lists 100 visual artists on etsy. Of course these are personal favorites of the author, so there are many, many talented artists not represented here, and there is definitely a preference for the style that the author prefers which may or may not be what you prefer, but I enjoyed looking through the list and discovered some artists I’d never seen before.
If I have some free time, maybe I’ll compile a list of some of my favorite craft artists on etsy someday….
Felt Bead Earring Tutorial

I wrote a guest tutorial for Jewelry and Beading on using felt beads to make an easy, cute pair of earrings. You can make the felt beads yourself if you know how to felt wool, or buy them if you want more of an instant gratification project. I sell the ones I make in my etsy store. Taking a short break

My son was born on Friday, so I’m taking a short break to spend as much time with him as possible. I will be back posting about jewelry soon, and in the meantime, I will be shipping orders that come in on Fridays (so if you order something earlier in the week, expect it to be mailed on Friday of that week). I am not accepting custom orders for the month of March.
