Copper Rose

I’ve been drawn to the look of copper wire lately. Started making a simple bead and wire chain using copper wire and multicolored dyed freshwater pearls.

Copper Rose
It isn’t finished yet, but it’s going to be a nice, long necklace, and I’m calling it Copper Rose. I think the pink tones of the pearls are beautiful and rich looking with the copper. I haven’t made bead and wire chains in a long time - they are time consuming to make, but a great way to make a custom chain using just about any combination of wire and beads. Tutorial coming soon!

I made this series of pendants a while ago as a color exercise and recently found them while sorting old stock, and decided to show them off here. I’m not sure where to try selling these, or even if I want to sell them, but I like them. They are made with copper wire and glass seed beads in contrasting colors.
