I call the pieces on this page “fused silver sculpture”. They are three dimensional sculptures made from fine silver, argentium silver, sterling silver, or a combination of the three. I create these small wearable sculptures using wire and a torch. When pieces of metal are connected by melting them together without solder, it is called fusing. Normally, fusing is used to close jump rings, but I thought it would be fun to use fusing for the entire construction of a piece. After some experimenting, I got this process to work really well with my freeform style of jewelry making.
