Felt Beads

Felted Wool Beads. (Click thumbnail to see larger picture.) My felt beads are handmade from wool roving (unspun wool fibers) using a combination of needle felting and wet felting techniques. Perfect for use in jewelry and fiber projects, felt beads are colorful, fun, lightweight, and extremely durable. Why bother with a scarf when you could wear a wool necklace? Or maybe wrist warmers are a little too reminiscent of the 80's for you - update the look with a wool bead bracelet. Just as fuzzy and comfy to wear as traditional wool accessories, wool beads have a more minimalist, elegant look without losing any of the fun, funky attitude of handknit scarves and wrist warmers.

Resin Pendants
Resin jewelry made from assorted found objects, beads, etc. Each thumbnail above is also a link that will take you to a larger image and description of the piece.
My resin jewelry really needs to be seen in person for the full effect, but these pictures give a taste of what my "three dimensional collages" look like. Resin is layered, sometimes colored with dyes or eyeshadow powders, sometimes left crystal clear, and natrual and manmade objects are embedded within it at varying heights. Freshwater pearls appear to float around colored sand, shells, dried flower petals, and leaves. Details from magazine images and art prints are magnified beneath clear resin, or partially hidden beneath floating objects.
The images above are a sampling of what is available. Some pieces may have already sold, but I am always creating new work. Standard size resin pendants (about an inch diameter) are $35. Sterling silver snake chains are available for $10. Email me (michon @ michondesign.com) to inquire about availability of a piece or to see more pictures of new resin pendants. Many of my resin pendants are for sale at the Pro Arts Gallery, on 2nd Street at Clay, in Oakland, CA.
