Stone Disc Pendant

This pendant is truly one of a kind, as a result of the unique coloring and pattern appearing on the 1 1/4 inch disc shaped stone centerpiece. The simple wirework frames the design without hiding it, showing off the beauty and originality of the stone to its fullest. The pendant measures just under 2 inches tall, and is crafted with sterling silver wire, hand sculpted and coiled around the stone.

I purchased a couple strands of these stones while at a gem show in Tucson, Arizona in February of 2006, but I'm not sure exactly what they are. The most common types of stones with varying colors and patterns are agates and jaspers, so this probably falls into one of those categories. Each stone has its own unique colors and patterns, from yellow and green tones, to brown and black, to pinks and reds.
